Welcome to the Robin's Nest. Nestled between two mountains in the quaint town of Monterey, Va . Enjoy the comforts of home in this one bedroom, one bath, two story creekside cottage. Upstairs contains one bedroom with queen size bed, living room with queen size pull out sofa, and full bath. Downstairs finds an eat in kitchen with washer and dryer and back room with additional couch and full size pull out sofa. Yard accessible from lower level.
Outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the lovely mountain weather and listen to the tinkling creek that runs behind the property. Enjoy spotting the many birds that make Highland County a go to spot for bird watching.
Owners live off premises. Guests have full access to cottage.

Enjoy a quaint small- town getaway in this charming one level, two-bedroom, one bath cottage. The space includes a large living room, sitting room, full dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. Beds include One Queen, One Full, plus Three Couches and a Full Size Futon. Sip coffee and enjoy the singing of local songbirds from the front porch or back patio. Easy walking distance to local restaurants, shops, cidery, community center, walking trail, and playground.
The Chickadee Cottage will make you feel like you have arrived at a favorite aunt's cottage. Cozy up to watch tv, read a book, or play one of the many games. The front porch and back patio are wonderful in warmer weather to sit and relax. The county is known to be one of the best spots for birding in the state of Virginia.
The interior house is completely accessible to guest as well as the laundry room at the back of the house. We ask that guests do not attempt to go upstairs in the rear of the house. The stairs are movable, and the upstairs is only used as a storage area for our family.
