Farm Stay Vacation Rental
Enjoy the charm of a country farmhouse in the beautiful Bullpasture valley. Built in 1885, the house sheltered an old Highland county family and raised eight children during the Depression. Beautiful renovations brought the house back to life after several years of loneliness, making it a delightful place for you and yours to rest and relax. Situated on 150 acres south of McDowell, the house oversees chickens, horses, and cows on a daily basis. The Bullpasture River flows through the property, offering wading, swimming, fishing, and general outdoor fun. Depending on the season, you can experience making hay, pressing apple cider, harvesting vegetables, gathering eggs or making maple syrup. Cozy enough for two or spacious enough for a family, the house features a full kitchen, dining room, living room, two full baths, guest laundry, and four bedrooms to sleep nine. No smoking and no pets, please.
