The Highland County Arts Council presents an evening of contra dancing, a brief membership meeting, and a silent auction fundraiser on Saturday, November 9 at 7 p.m. at the Highland Center.

Afton Crossing, composed of Jim Harrington on accordion and Rya Martin on piano, will provide the wonderful music for contra dancing. Caller Caroline Barnes, will lead everyone from novice to experienced dancers through the steps with ease.  

There will be a brief intermission for a membership meeting to elect new board members. Another great component to the evening is a silent auction fundraiser to support the mission of the Arts Council.  Wonderful artwork by talented local artists has been donated for the auction.
