The Highland Tourism Council is hosting its next meeting for all current or future Highland County lodging businesses on Tuesday, May 6th from 5 - 6:30 pm at The Highland Center at 61 Highland Center Drive in Monterey. Light refreshments will be provided.

Current lodgers with physical locations in Highland County are invited to network and learn more about marketing opportunities.

Attendees will hear from Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Katie Conner, who will be discussing VTC resources such as Virginia.org, research tools, and content marketing best practices. Interested individuals can also sign up for an “online audit” of their lodging organization conducted by Economic Recovery Corps Fellow Landdis Hollifield. This audit will be one-on-one and help lodgers better understand how they can improve their website, Google business page(s), and social media page(s). Audits will be conducted at a later, scheduled date.

Important local and regional lodging data will also be presented at this meeting, as well as a new “Top 10 Things to Do in Highland County” one-sheet.
