Highland County Star Party

Description

Based on the forecast, the Star Party will be held on September 19 or 20 at 923 Sounding Knob Road at the Skip Jones property in Monterey, Virginia! Plan to gather around 7:30 pm.

 If the weather deteriorates, as sometimes happens, stay tuned for further announcements. 

Knowledgeable local astronomers bring powerful telescopes to share views of the starts, constellations, planets, and nebulae. Bring yourself, telescopes and binoculars if you have them, and a lawn chair. Dress warmly, and prepare to be awed by the beauty of Highland County's Dark Sky.
