The speaker on Monday, October 13 is Sally Entreken, Ph.D., Associate Professor in the Entomology Department at Virginia Tech. 

The topic is "Aquatic Insects Know No Boundaries: Their Contribution to Foodwebs".

Learn how aquatic insects use, transfer and move energy and nutrients across watersheds based on case studies from Southwestern Virginia and Florida. The presentation will focus on the role of aquatic insects with aerial adult stages to point out where they are likely important to forest and grassland ecosystems but perhaps underappreciated in those food webs.
