Then, tour the farm and meet, learn, and work alongside young adults passionate about growing healthy communities through food.
Allegheny Mountain Institute’s Mountain Farm is a working farm and fellowship program. Seven Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Fellows live, work, and participate in immersive training on this farm for the first six months of their Fellowship.
AMI’s farm includes a spacious lodge and Fellow cabins, lush gardens, and botanically-rich fields and forests. Chickens, cows, and bees are on the Farm below the lodge. Guests are invited to stay in the upstairs of the lodge, which includes four guests bedroom and two private bathrooms (available to rent in a variety of configurations).
A self-serve continental breakfast featuring sustainably grown, farm-fresh produce are provided for all guests. Weekday guests are also invited to participate in family style meals with the Fellows at no additional charge.
Guests may participate in select workshops with the Fellows for a small fee on Wednesdays. Workshop listings and sign-ups are available on the AMI website. Farm stay guests intending to participate in a weekday workshop should plan to stay Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
