Did you know that Highland County has a Medical Supply Closet filled with an amazing assortment of durable, sanitized medical equipment, as well as other items? The medical supply closet is maintained by the Highland County Volunteer Respite group and is located in Monterey.
The medical supply closet provides equipment on loan free of charge to residents of Highland County.
Examples of items available for loan are:
· Shower chairs
· A patient lift device with sling (limited supply)
· Raised toilet seats
· Bedside toilets
· Rollators
· Walkers
· Canes
· Crutches
· Wheelchairs
· Transfer chairs
· Incontinence supplies
· Motorized scooters
· Bed rails
· Grab bars
· Much more!
Please call Ellen Ratcliffe at 540-468-2546 to request equipment or to make a donation of equipment. If the medical supply does not have what you need, please contact HELP, located in Churchville, at 540-324-6186. (Such as a hospital bed or lift chair which can sometimes be found in limited supply.)
