Monterey Mountain Meats is a custom slaughterhouse for beef, hogs, sheep, and goats, located a few miles north of Monterey off Rt. 220 at 6095 Potomac River Road in Highland County, Virginia. It offers USDA-inspected beef and pork, locally grown, fresh and frozen, plus pork sausage, hamburger, and other cuts.
Monterey Mountain Meats is within a 60-mile drive of Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, Covington, and Lexington in Virginia, as well as Lewisburg, Elkins, Moorefield, and Petersburg in West Virginia.
Appointments are typically made three months out, and they can also help arrange hauling and cattle purchases.
Business hours are Monday-Thursday 8-4 and Friday-Saturday 8-12.
